URGENT LETTER

Dear Parents

Unfortunately, due to the red weather warning and the risk assessment for school we will be unable to open school tomorrow. This is not a decision we have taken lightly but in light of the Local Authority advice issued to schools across Dorset and BCP late this afternoon, it will not be possible for us to open safely due to staffing levels. We are aware that most schools in the area are closing and this is also having an impact on our own staff as well as you with regard to childcare.

It is imperative that children remain inside tomorrow due to the severe winds forecast and stay away from waterways and coasts.

I know that this will cause disruption for all of you, however we will be unable to maintain the safety of children and staff and therefore regrettably must close tomorrow. The school site will remain closed all day.

Teachers for years 1 to 6 will be available on Google classroom throughout the day as per our remote learning policy.

Yours sincerely

Janine Harries
