"Healthy Active Lifestyles"
At Heathlands Primary Academy we will support excellence in Physical Education through promoting healthy, active lifestyles and engaging in a range of competitive, challenging and enjoyable opportunities: developing sportsmanship, friendship and a determination to achieve in physical activities and school sport.
At Heathlands our key priority is to increase children participation in physical activity.
In 2017/18 we received £17,430. We plan to use our grant to:
Employ specialist sports coaches to coach a variety of sporting activities for children on Fitness Fridays and run the following activities through the summer terms
Sailing: 6 sessions for 10 children with the aim to achieve RYA Level 1 qualification.
These activities will give the children skills they can choose to develop further at a later date and can be validated by the Children's University.
