What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium funding is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years (known as ‘Ever 6 FSM’).
Schools also receive funding for children who have been 'looked after' continuously for more than six months or for children of service personnel.
At Heathlands we promote healthy, active lifestyles. Pupils engage in a range of sporting activities that reflect our school values of Respect, Excellence and Integrity. We utilise the Government Sport Premium Grant in order to increase participation in physical activity and to support the children's mental health.
We are very fortunate to be working with sports coaches from Team Theme this term. The coaches provide lunchtime clubs to help children keep active during their lunchtime, and they are working with our teachers to provide effective PE lessons for all children in KS1 and KS2.
