I am Lewis and I am pleased to be the Head Boy at Heathlands. I am looking forward to representing the school in the future.
I am Lilly and I am pleased to be the Head Girl. It is an opportunity to think of ideas for our school to make it even better.
This week (Monday 25th January 2016) our first job is to help Mrs Huggett reintroduce the School Council/STARS Leaders.
We will be talking to the children about how they can volunteer to be part of the team in assembly on Tuesday.
It is an important role because we believe that all children should have a say in what happens in our school.
Pupil Voice is important to us at Heathlands and we are pleased to say that we have started the School Council again.
All children were invited to apply to be councillors saying what skills they thought they had that would be useful to the school. We had lots of amazing applications. It was a very hard job to decide and we needed to interview some candidates as part of the process.
We are pleased to announce that our School Councillors for the rest of this school year are:
Yr1 Lily and Brooke- Mia
Yr2 Abigail and Olivia
Yr3 Chloe and Max
Yr3/4 Angela and Alfie
Yr5 CJ and Aimee
Yr6 Elly, Jasmine, Tracey and Finnley
We would like to thank everyone who applied and feel sure that they will continue to take an active part in class discussions and come up with good ideas for the School council to consider.
We will keep you informed of the decisions the councillors make in order to make our school an even better place.
Lilly and Lewis
